Xenoblight: Procreation Album Review

Xenoblight are an Extreme Metal band from Silkeborg, Denmark. The band consists of Marika Hyldmar (Vocals), Rasmus Tobias Clemmensen (Guitar), Mikkel Jepsen (Guitar), Steffen Hagelskjær (Bass) and Thomas Halborg Madsen (Drums).

Over the last few years, I have been following several bands that hail from Denmark, one of which is Forever Still, which I have been following since April of 2016. When Xenoblight sent me their album Procreation through the other week, I had to listen to it, to see what it is like. Normally I listened to an album a few times, just to get a basic initial vibe of it, and I must say – after I to this album, my initial gut feeling – Procreation is really good album from Xenoblight.

After I have listened to this album several times I must say that it is fast paced and in your face Extreme Metal, which will appeal to a lot of Metal fans. The tracks that I have found that I liked or found interesting are: Descension, Shapeshifter, love the drumming on this track. Obsidian Chromatism, Xenoblight, Nocturnal Manifestations, Transcendence, Predominance and Virus. Overall, the Procreation album is amazing. This is another Danish band that I will be following closely, to what they come out with next.

If you are looking for a new band or genre to get into or if you like the Extreme Metal genre, then Xenoblight is the band for you, and I highly recommend that you go and check these guys out on their Facebook page.

I would give Xenoblight and their album Procreation a 4.5 out of 5. A brilliant, must hear album.
