March In Arms: Self Titled Album Review

This is some seriously well organized metal! Crisp and neat. The clarity in the production would do the Virgin Mary proud! The dynamics alone are so perfectly timed and polished that I wanted to grab it and shake the shit out of it!

Strong song titles to match strong melodic, ear piercing metal riffs. Not to mention the pair of lungs that carries out this self titled album. As soon as I started listening to the opening track Procession of the Dead my head was banging and I was pulling the classic metal face.

This typical style metal is timeless, meaning there will always be a huge fan base especially if your into Avenged Sevenfold and Dream Theatre. With the whole album having a political American modern war concept which is highly appropriate, emphasizing the effect and casualties of war in both the literal and metaphorical sense.
Although this style of vocal and ‘American Nu Metal’ feel is not my cup of tea and I have never heard of this band before? I still quite enjoyed it.
Its just a bit too pretty for me in terms of ‘Metal’ not quite messy enough.
But, ALAS!! its still kicks ass with it’s sleek metal-ness.
Well worth a listen to the metal masses out there!
