Heart Of Jordan: Heart Of Jordan Album Review

Heart Of Jordan are a Alt-Metal, Metalcore, Hard Rock band from Lansing, MI, USA. The band consists of Preston Mailand – Vocals, Eric TenEyck – Guitar, Elijah White – Guitar, Alfonso Civile – Bass and Andrew Everett – Drums.

In the last few years, I have been listening and reviewing a lot of Rock and Metal bands. So, when I got the Heart Of Jordan self titled album through a weeks ago, I put it on, so I can get a general idea of the album, and my initial thoughts were pretty good.

After I have listen to the album couple more times over the last day or so. The songs that I have found I liked or I have found Interesting are: Throne Alone, Shade, No Escape, Schizo, Deny, Eye, Your Vengeance, Deaf Ears, Echoes Still Remain and Enslaved.

Throne Alone is a good opener to the album, as it has a good amount of energy to the song. Shade is another good song, as it some good drums and guitars, there is some good riffs on Shade, plus the vocals are pretty decent. No Escape has a pretty cool intro, and has an energy that people would like and they will start to head bob in appreciation. The guitars on Schizo are pretty good, as they are heavy, the vocals are really good as they go very well with the music that the band is going for on the song, the drums on this are good as they help drive the track along. Deny, I like this song, as it is a fast paced track with the guitars and drums, as this reminds me of Speed and Thrash Metal, there are some softer moments on the track, as they transition between the fast paced parts of the song, plus, with the guitars, there is some really cool riffs on this track.

Eye is a more Melodic at the beginning, as to me, it seems be more of a ballad, I like this track as to shows to me, that the band can write and perform different styles of Rock and Metal, plus the song does have the heavier moments, with the guitars, drums and vocals working well with each other. Your Vengeance is a cool track, as the intro starts off with a cool riff and throughout the song, as that opening riff comes in from time to time. Deaf Ears is a good track with the guitars etc, but, at first I wasn’t to sure about the vocals, but after a couple of listens to the song, I came to like the vocals to a degree. There is some brilliant drums and guitars on Echoes Still Remain, as the guitars have some cool riffs.

Well, as I listened to the album several times and overall I really liked it. I would recommend to anyone who likes the Metalcore, Alt-Metal and Hard Rock genres to go and check Heart Of Jordan out, or if you are someone who wants to discover a new band to listen to, go check them out on their Facebook page. I would like to hear more from these guys, as I do find these guys interesting.

I would give Heart Of Jordan and their self titled album a solid 4 out of 5
