Black Space Riders: Amoretum Vol. 2 Album Review

Black Space Riders are a New Wave of Heavy Psychedelic Spacerock, they are from Muenster, Germany. The band consists of JE (VOX, Guitars), SLI (Guitars), SAQ (Bass), CRIP (Drums) and SEB (VOX).

When I came across Black Space Riders, they sent me through the album Amoretum Vol. 1 to review possibly play on my radio show, but when they sent me a second album, Amoretum Vol. 2 through, I was like, OK, this was quick to release another album. So, I look at the press release that they sent me, and they had a massive writing recording spree for three months last year, and the result is, more than two hours worth of music across two brilliant albums.

Well, what can I say about this band, that the Black Space Riders have done it again. From that three month writing spree last year, they have created something epic within these two albums.

On this album, Amoretum Vol. 2, they continued with the amazing music. The songs that I have found that I liked or found interesting are: Before My Eyes, LoveLoveLoveLoveLoveLoveLoveLoveLove! (Break The Pattern Of Fear), this track reminds me of the band The Cure. Walls Away. Sláinte (Salud dinero amor) love the guitars and drums on this track. Assimilating Love, I like this song as it has some really cool guitars and the vocals are really good and go perfectly with the music. The next song is brilliant, as this is a good chill out track, In Our Garden, Leaves Of Life (falling down). Take Me To The Stars is a pretty cool track, as this is a good tune to drive to. Ch Ch Ch Ch pt. I (The ugly corruptor), this song is one of my favourites of the album, as this is over 7 minutes, and this is a must listen to track. Ch Ch Ch Ch pt. II (Living in my dream) Is a brilliant counterpart to the previous song, as they are complete opposites in the style of music that they are. Chain Reaction, No Way, and the last track The Wait Is Never Over. I have listened to the whole album several times and I must admit that I totally enjoyed it.

Black Space Riders are a brilliant band, and if you get the chance to get any of their music, go buy it as you will not be disappointed with any of it, and I would highly recommend that you go and check these guys out on their Facebook page.

I would give Black Space Riders and the Amoretum Vol. 2 album a 5 out of 5, Brilliant album.
