Ravensire: Tyrant’s Dictum EP Review

Ravensire are a Heavy Metal band from Lisbon, Portugal. The band consists of Nuno Mordred – Guitars, Rick Thor – Bass, Vocals, F – Drums and Zé RockHard – Guitars.

Over the last few years, since I started Project Metal Music I have been getting a lot of amazing music from awesome bands from all over the world, and Ravensire is no different. This offering from Ravensire has two tracks and when I came to do this review of Tyrant’s Dictum, and when I put this on, I was like, OK, what you got for me?

The first track is Tyrant’s Dictum, I was immediately enthralled by it, as it has some really good slow riffage for the first ten seconds, and then bang, it went totally heavy with some amazing guitars, and throughout the song, the guitars continue to be brilliant, with the excellent riffage. In some parts of the song, it reminds me somewhat of the eighties metal bands, like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.

Facing The Wind is next and is the last track. well what can I say, this track follows on from Tyrant’s Dictum with the amazing riffage and shredding. The band as a whole work really well together, and they have created two brilliant songs for this two track offering.

Well, Ravensire you have got my attention, plus you have made a fan. I will be playing these tracks on my radio show Project Metal Across The Pond With Ell Yong, on Digital Revolution Radio, in the coming weeks. I would highly recommend that you go and check out Ravensire on their Facebook page, as they are a really good band.

I would give Ravensire and the Tyrant’s Dictum a 4.5 out of 5, totally brilliant!!
