Doomstress: Supernatural Kvlt Sounds – The Second Rite EP Review

Doomstress are a DOOM, Stoner-Doom and Heavy Rock band from Texas, USA. The band consists of Doomstress Alexis, Brandon Johnson and Tomasz Scull.

Over the last two years or so, I have been getting a lot of music from awesome bands being sent through to Project Metal Music, Doomstress is one of these bands that are really good.

After I got the Supernatural Kvlt Sounds – The Second Rite EP and put it on to listen to a few times, just to get the feel of it. I wasn’t kidding about that Doomstress is really good. now if you are into the Doom genre of metal and you like such bands as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Uriah Heap, you’ll gonna love Doomstress.

Doomstress is a band that has some sweet guitar riffs, as they are heavy as hell and they will melt your brain.

Way of the Mountain is up first on this four track EP. Well this is a brilliant song that kicks this EP off, as there is riffs galore and shredding aplenty to excite the fans of Hard Rock and Doom, the drumming and the bass brings it altogether to create a brilliant song, and what sets it all off is the vocals.

Bitter Plea is next, and what a track, this song carries on from Way of the Mountain with the guitars, drumming and bass lines. This has to be one of my favourite tracks of the EP as it has some splendid guitars which I like. In the next few weeks I will play this track on my radio show, Project Metal Across The Pond With Ell Yong, which can be only heard on Digital Revolution Radio.

Rainbow Demon is up next, and this track has some really good down and dirty guitars on this, and this song takes me back to the late seventies and early eighties when I was a kid exploring the wonderful world of Rock and Metal and was intrigued by the guitars and how they got that sound from the guitars.

The last song on this EP is Sleep Among the Dead, OMG!!! this track, this track is awesome, the way they have done the guitars and having two singers on it is amazing and this carries on throughout the song and this is definitely is a favourite off the EP, I will also play this on my radio show in the near future.

If ever get the chance to check out Doomstress, do so , these guys are brilliant, you can check them out on their Facebook page as all the information that you want know is on there.

I would give Doomstress and their EP a definite 4.5 out of 5, a brilliant EP and brilliant last track.
