Power Theory: Something Old, Something New & Something LIVE!!! From Europe Review

Power Theory are a Traditional Power Metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The Band consists of Jeff Rose (Vocals), Rob “BB” Ballinger (Guitar), Carlos Alvarez (Guitar), Alan D’Angelo (Bass) and Johnny Sasso (Drums).

As the name of the title of the E.P. there is tracks that are old, new and live. And I must say, that after I have listened to this E.P. a few times, I can safely say that I have become a fan of Power Theory. When I was growing up in the late 1970’s and early 1980’sI was listening to a lot of metal, some of it was as we now as NWOBHM and Power Metal. Some of those bands that were pioneering those genres was Iron Maiden, Accept and Judas Priest just to name but a few, and these bands have influenced Power Theory.

The track Colossus and the E.P. can be found on Power Theory’s Bandcamp page and I highly recommend that you go and listen to it, as the E.P. is awesome.

This five track E.P. is epic, and is a perfect blend between new, old and live. Power Theory have displayed that they are amazing musicians on this E.P. The songs that are on this E.P. have impressed me. The listening is below:

01 – Brace For Impact

02 – Axe To Grind (2016)

03 – Colossus (2016)

04 – Dark Eagle (Live)

05 – The Truth Shall Set You Free (Live)

The track that stood out for me is Colossus and the two live tracks Dark Eagle and The Truth Shall Set You Free, these songs show that they know what they are doing. On these songs, the drumming is superb and the singing is on point and the guitars are brilliant and will melt your brains.

Well if you are into the Power Metal genre and you are looking for a band that will melt your face off, look no further than Power Theory, I highly recommend that you go and check them out on their Facebook page or on their website.

I would give Power Theory and the E.P. a 5 out of 5 for a truly amazing piece of work.
